The Challenge

Turn a Logistics-Heavy Rental Service Into a Clear Online Decision

A rental customer must make several connected decisions before a booking is useful: choose the right capacity, understand the included rental period and weight, confirm service coverage, provide delivery and pickup details, and review payment. DDM Bin Rentals’ first website needed to organize that operational complexity for homeowners and contractors without making the process feel technical or uncertain.

  • Two rental lines follow different decision rulesRoll-off bins are compared by yard capacity, included weight, and a seven-day term, while storage containers use physical dimensions, intended uses, and a one-month term.
  • Customers need confidence before choosing a sizeCleanup, renovation, construction, moving, and temporary-storage projects require different capacities; the site needed to connect each option with recognizable use cases.
  • A rental requires more than a conventional cart actionQuantity, delivery date, automatically related pickup timing, address, city, postal code, company details, and placement instructions all belong in the transaction path.
  • Service coverage has to be understandable before bookingCustomers across Toronto, Durham, Peel, and York need a clear way to identify the applicable region and continue to locally relevant information.
  • Pricing and disposal rules must stay visible and qualifiedPublic flat rates, included rental periods, weight allowances, accepted materials, restrictions, policies, and payment timing need clear destinations without implying guarantees beyond the client’s published terms.

Project Overview

A First Website Built Around the Complete Rental Journey

Saiftec is publicly credited as the designer and developer of DDM Bin Rentals’ WordPress and WooCommerce website. The finished platform separates bin and storage-container journeys, presents option-level prices and inclusions, moves customers through a three-step booking interface, collects delivery and pickup details, exposes a review-and-pay stage with active Stripe assets, and connects four GTA service regions through an interactive map and dedicated location pages.

  • Two distinct rental cataloguesFour bin sizes and three storage-container sizes use product-specific descriptions, pricing, inclusions, and rental terms.

  • Four-region service discoveryToronto, Durham, Peel, and York are represented through an interactive regional map and dedicated service-area destinations.

Our Solution

Guide Every Rental From Equipment Choice to Delivery Context

The finished experience treats rental ecommerce as a guided workflow rather than a generic product grid. Customers first compare the equipment that fits their project, then provide the information required for delivery and pickup, and finally move toward review and payment. Supporting content explains included terms, acceptable materials, use cases, service regions, and contact options so the transactional path sits inside a more complete decision-support experience.

  • Purpose-led bin selectionFour public bin options pair yard size with project examples, flat-rate pricing, seven-day rental terms, and included weight before the customer selects one.
  • A separate storage-container journeyThree container options use physical dimensions, one-month terms, project-fit guidance, and their own selection path rather than forcing storage into the bin-rental model.
  • Delivery and pickup scheduling fieldsThe second booking step preserves the selected equipment and price while collecting quantity, delivery timing, derived pickup timing, location details, and placement instructions.
  • WooCommerce and Stripe payment foundationWooCommerce checkout resources, an active Stripe payment plugin, and the public Review & Pay step provide the platform’s payment foundation. No transaction was submitted during research.
  • Interactive service-area and rules guidanceA custom regional map, dedicated location pages, accepted and restricted material lists, project examples, FAQs, and published policies clarify whether and how a customer should proceed.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a custom rental flow instead of a standard ecommerce product page?

DDM customers need to choose equipment and provide logistics information before review and payment. The public three-step flow keeps equipment selection, delivery and pickup details, and review/payment in a sequence designed for rentals rather than a conventional one-click product purchase.

Can one ecommerce website support bins and storage containers with different terms?

Yes. This project demonstrates separate public journeys: bins use yard capacity, included weight, and seven-day terms, while storage containers use physical dimensions, intended uses, and one-month terms. Both retain a consistent three-step booking structure.

What delivery information can the booking experience collect?

The verified second step collects quantity, delivery date, an automatically related pickup date, optional company name, delivery address, city, postal code, and placement instructions. No submission was made, so downstream dispatch or notification behavior is not claimed.

Does the platform support online payment?

The public interface labels its third step Review & Pay, loads WooCommerce checkout resources, and loads active Stripe payment-plugin assets. No test payment or order was submitted, so successful authorization, settlement, refunds, or back-office processing were not verified.

How does the website handle multiple service regions?

The homepage includes an interactive map for Toronto, Durham, Peel, and York and links each region to a dedicated service-area page. This provides geographic guidance without claiming that every postal code or delivery request is automatically accepted.

Is the rental journey designed for mobile visitors?

The live mobile homepage uses a compact menu, responsive hero content, large calls to action, and a single-column layout. The case-study implementation must preserve the supplied mobile evidence and validate the Showcase down to 320 px.
