Cost follows scope rather than page count alone: how many templates need designing, whether you need ecommerce or third-party integrations, and how much of the content we write for you. A brochure site for a local firm and a multi-language store connected to an ERP are very different projects. We scope each one individually and give you a fixed written quote in Canadian dollars — scope, milestones and timeline included — before any work starts, so there are no mid-project surprises.

Tailored Coverings
Made to measure, booked in the living room
Tailored Coverings design, measure and install custom blinds, shades, shutters and drapery across the Greater Toronto Area. We build and look after the website that turns a visitor into a booked in-home appointment, and hands the designer the details to quote before they arrive.

The Challenge
Custom window coverings are one of the few home purchases that cannot be put in a cart. Nothing has a shelf price, every window is different, and the sale is closed by a designer sitting in the customer’s living room with fabric samples. The website has a narrower job than a shop: explain a range most people cannot name, prove the work is good, and get an appointment in the calendar with enough detail attached to quote.
- Nothing has a shelf price, so no price list is possible
- Buyers routinely confuse blinds, shades, shutters and drapery
- The sale closes in the customer's home, not on the website
- A quote needs a room, a window count and rough sizes
- Motorization is the most asked about and least understood
- Coverage runs across the GTA and into Michigan
- This is a purchase people judge by looking, not by reading

A Look at the Finished Work

Our Solution
We built the site around the one action that matters, booking a free shop-at-home visit, and made every other page feed it. Blinds, shades, shutters and drapery each get their own page in plain language. Motorization, the part buyers ask about most and understand least, gets its own section. And the quote form asks for the things a designer needs before the van is loaded.
- Free shop-at-home booking as the primary call to action
- A page each for blinds, shades, shutters and custom drapery
- Motorization given its own section rather than a footnote
- Quote form that collects city, window count and rough sizes
- Project gallery with a named photo set per finished room
- In-home colour consultation on its own bookable page
- Review capture, with the testimonials shown on the home page
- Email sign-up wired into the tools the team already uses

Outcomes
What Changed After Launch
Enquiries arrive ready to quote
The form collects city, window count, products of interest and rough measurements, so the first conversation is about design rather than data collection.
Findable by treatment
Blinds, shades, shutters, drapery and motorization each have a page that can rank, be linked and be shared on its own.
Finished work is browsable
Named project sets give a prospect something to look at before they agree to a designer visiting their home.
Editable without a developer
Products, promotions, gallery sets and posts are all managed in WordPress by the team themselves.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a professional website cost?
How long does a website project take?
A typical business website takes four to six weeks from kickoff to launch. Ecommerce builds usually run six to ten weeks, and custom web applications longer depending on integrations. The biggest variable is not development — it is content and feedback. Projects move fastest when one person on your side can approve copy and design. You get a milestone schedule up front and a staging link you can review at any point.
Can you redesign our existing website without losing our Google rankings?
Yes, and protecting what already ranks is part of the process rather than an afterthought. We audit the current site first — traffic, best-performing pages, backlinks and technical issues — then keep the URLs that already earn visits and build a redirect map for anything that has to change. Content and metadata carry across, and we watch Search Console for the first few weeks after launch so anything unexpected gets caught early.
Will my website work properly on phones and tablets?
Yes. Every site we build is mobile-first: we design the phone layout before the desktop one, because that is where most of your visitors will arrive. We test on real iOS and Android devices as well as in the browser, checking tap targets, form usability, image weight and load time over a mobile connection — not just that the layout reflows. Responsive design is included in every build, never a paid extra.
Can I update the website myself after launch?
Yes. We build on WordPress so editing a page feels closer to editing a document than writing code. At handover you get a walkthrough recorded for your team plus a short written guide covering the things you will actually do: changing text and images, adding pages, publishing posts and swapping a promotion. If you would rather not touch it at all, that is what our maintenance plans are for.
Do you provide hosting and domains?
Yes, we can host your site, and we are equally happy to work with hosting you already have. Our managed setup includes an SSL certificate, LiteSpeed caching, a Cloudflare CDN, daily off-site backups, malware scanning and uptime monitoring. You keep ownership of your domain and DNS either way — so if you ever move providers, the site and its data come with you.
